Sandra Marie shennett AKA “NENA” As her Grandchildren affectionately called her was born the eldest daughter to the late Calvin Shennett Sr. and Maggie Ford on October 21, 1965 in Hawkinsville, Georgia. Sandra spent her early childhood in Georgia with her sisters and brothers. At the age of eight years old the whole family migrated to New Jersey where she attended the Passaic public school system graduating from Passaic High School in 1984. After graduating high school she went to work for the Mallard Factory Home Good Accessories. Then after the closing of Mallards she went onto becoming a childcare provider for a wonderful Jewish family in Passaic park New Jersey. She worked there until she gained her wings and went home to be with the Lord. At a very early age she was taught how to read the Bible and gain a relationship with the Lord and savior Jesus Christ from her mother. After becoming a young adult Sandra joined the Union Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. Rev. Ronald W. Johnson. “NENA” loved to cook and decorate for every holiday especially Easter so that she can have her annual Easter egg hunt and make baskets for her grandchildren, great nieces and nephews. On the early Sunday morning of May 3, 2020 Sandra heard a voice from Heaven saying come unto me my child and take your rest. She was preceded in death by her parents Calvin Shennett Sr. Maggie Ford two brothers Calvin Shennett Jr. and Ricky Shennett. Sandra leaves behind everlasting memories and laughs to be cherished by her three children Shakeema Wade (Michael) of Hackensack NJ Octavia Wade (Ahmodi) of Paterson NJ and Alexander and wife Jennifer Wade of Passaic NJ. Seven grandchildren Kimora Mouzone , Trajaz Mouzone, Jahsir Wade, Jordan Wade, Zion Blacknell, Ariah Cook, and Joseph Wade two sisters Mary Shennett and Vandelean Shennett both of Passaic NJ and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
