Mother Annie Bell  Wilkes

February 23, 1931 - July 21, 2017

Mother Annie Bell (Barnett) Wilkes 103 years was born in Union, South Carolina to the late Will Barnett and Ella Rice. Mother Annie Bell Wilkes resided in Passaic over 46 years, she was a housewife She was a former member of Red Hill Baptist Church of Union, S.C. also a member of 2nd Timothy Baptist Church where she was a Deaconess of Church, former member of The Eastern Star. Mother Annie Bell Wilkes was predeceased by her Furman Wilkes, Sr. (1990), two sons Jessie and Furman, Jr Wilkes, eight siblings Willie, Arthur, Les, Russell, Clarence Barnett, Carrie Thompson, Lee Ella Porter and Fannie Mae Barnett. Her memory will be cherished by her beloved children: Robert (Mattie) Wilkes of Spartanburg, SC, Eugene ( Alice) Wilkes of Landover, MD and Rev. Harold (Shirley) of Providence, RI, James of Passaic, NJ, Bobby of Secaucus, NJ and Betty Smith of Passaic, NJ. 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. A special friend Emma Wilkes, two adoptive daughters Eileen Greene and Patricia Wilder.
