Jinabhai V Mistry

Jinabhai V. Mistry was born and raised in Tanzania, Dar es Salaam, Africa on April 1, 1932. He was the second child of late Mr. and Mrs. Vasanjibhai Lad and the only brother of eight sisters. He worked with Grinlands Bank (British Bank) until it was nationalized in 1972 and became known as the National Bank of Commerce where he served as a specialist, letter of credit. He retired at the age of 50, after serving in the bank for 35 years. In 1986, with his wife and three children he immigrated to the United States. After working several temporary jobs in different banks, he received a job in New York City. In New York City, he was an employee at Banco Mercantile (Sao Paulo), a Brazilian bank. After working many years, he retired at the age of 62. With his determination and strong character, he supported his children for many years until the death of his wife. In recent years, he was diagnosed with several health problems. His children and grandchildren remained by his side throughout his circumstances. He was predeceased by His Parents Vasanjibhai D.
