James  Arthur "Artie" Whitmire

January 16, 1937 - October 27, 2016

James Arthur Whitmire 79 was born in Laurens S,Carolina on the 16th day of January 1937 to the late John and Orrie (Philips) Whitmire . .He was educated in the School system of Laurens . At the age of 18 he enlisted in the U.S .army from 1955-1957 and received a honorable discharge. James soon left S.Carolina to begin a life in New Jersey ,where he met his wife the former Lunell Hannah and together they shared six children. James' passion immediately became his family, In fulfillment of his passion James worked at Allied Van Lines Passaic over 10 yrs and for the Passaic Board of Education unfortunately after 20 yrs. of dedicated and devoted work James retired.after being diagnosed with Alzheimer disease (AD) . James Arthur "Artie" Whitmire completed his lifes journey on the 27th of October 2016 after apox 14 yrs. of battling Alzheimer He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years Lunell Whitmire of Passaic 4 sons Larry Eaddy and Bud Flowers both of S.
